A man has been arrested for stealing the bags of two tourists and selling its contents.
Police revealed that 41-year-old Zabeeh Mohamed from Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo was arrested in the case.
They said that last night two Chinese tourists reported that they lost their bags after they had forgotten their bags near Marry Brown on Bodu Thakurufaanu Magu.
Police also said officers from the Galolhu Police Station managed to locate the bags and return the bags to their owners.
Police said some of the items in the bag were recovered after being sold. The bag contained a laptop, hard drive, power bank, passport, and clothes among other items.
They said they were further investigating the case.
