Police have brought the body of the man who died in a stabbing attack on Laamu Atoll, Maavashu, yesterday to Male'.
In a message to the media, Police said that they had brought the body of 29-year-old Moosa Ibrahim to Male' last night for further investigation.
The fatal stabbing occurred after a scuffle between the victim and another individual near the volleyball court yesterday morning.
Police reported that the victim was rushed to the hospital following the attack and was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Police also stated that they had arrested the individual suspected of stabbing Moosa. Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Mohamed Ibrahim of Haa Dhaalu Nolhivaram.
Police further said that they have found the weapon used in the stabbing, which had been thrown into the sea after the attack.
They have yet to give a motive for the attack but added that they were further investigating the attack.
