PNC has condemned comments made by the assistant manager of Fenaka branch in Haa Alifu Dhidhoo Abdullah Rasheed calling on the company to issue electricity to just houses that support the party.
He made these comments while speaking at the campaign rally held for the PNC Candidate competing for the Dhidhoo parliamentary seat Abdul Latheef Mohamed.
In shocking comments, Rasheed said that it was a blessing that electricity was being given to all the houses and it should be given based on houses.
He also said that until the Parliamentary Elections are over, electricity should only be given to houses supporting PNC.
However, PNC was quick to condemn his comments and separate itself from the concerning comments. PNC said in a post on X that it strongly condemns the comments made by Abdullah. It further said that these comments do not fall under the policies being pushed by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
PNC said that President Muizzu's policy is to provide services to the people regardless of political affiliation.
