Government has appointed another director for Addu International Airport Pvt Ltd (AIA).
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has appointed Shatif Ali, Nookage / S. Feydhoo as a government-representing director for the board, in which the government holds 70 per cent stake.
Besides presenting Shatif with his appointment letter to the Board of Directors of AIA, the PCB shared the findings of the financial reviews conducted by the Board and asked him to rectify the issues. They also discussed the difficulties ariases in running the company.
Shatif holds a Masters in Management from the Australian National University and was Dean of the Faculty of Management and Computing at the National University and General Manager of VAMCO's marketing department before being appointed to the AIA .
He is currently the General Manager of VAMCO's southern operations.
The AIA board consists of five government directors and two directors of Casa Holdings, which holds a 30 percent stake in the company.
