President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih says his administration has diligently and patiently provided services to the public despite numerous challenges from the parliament and the opposition.
He said this while speaking at a campaign rally in Noonu Atoll kendhikulhudhoo ahead of the MDP Primary to elect a Presidential candidate for this year's election.
The President said that in the last four years, his administration has provided more services to the public than those who completed five-year tenures.
President Solih said that his administration faced numerous hurdles from the Parliament and the opposition but patiently crossed all these hurdles and worked to provide services to the public.
Touching on the growing competition between him and his rival in the Primary, Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed, President Solih said that the Presidential election was not held to oppose one individual or alienate another.
President said that once the Primary ends, MDP will move forward as one party and that it would remain as one.
He assured that he would win the MDP Primary by a huge margin and move to secure a second presidency too.
With only Nasheed and the President competing in the MDP rally, the campaigning ahead of the election is heating up and the Primary is scheduled for the 28th of this month.
