Vice President Faisal Naseem has been discharged from the hospital after he was admitted there last Wednesday.
Presidential Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook had confirmed the VP's release from the hospital on Twitter today.
Mabrook also said that VP Faisal was in good health. However, the spokesperson did not confirm the diagnosis for the Vice President.
Deputy to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, VP Faisal was admitted to Dharumavantha Hospital with a high fever.
Mabrook had also confirmed that the VP had tested negative for COVID-19 having given his sample upon admission at the hospital.
Vice President Faisal had received the first dose of the covidsheild vaccine earlier this month.
The Vice President appealed to the public to come forth in the national spirit and urged everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
