Health Protection Agency HPA says the number of positive cases of Covid-19 in the Maldives has now reached 2283.
In its latest tweet, HPA said that 6 additional individuals tested positive for Covid-19 in the country yesterday. It said that this includes 3 locals and 3 Bangladeshi nationals.
The 2283 Covid-19 cases in the country include 804 locals and 1189 Bangladeshi nationals.
Also, 211 Indians and 43 Nepalese nationals have also tested positive for Covid-19 in the country.
Meanwhile, HPA said that an additional 15 people recovered from the virus in the Maldives yesterday. This takes the total recoveries to a promising 1863 with just 410 active cases of Covid-19 in the country.
The latest update on the HPA’s Covid-19 dashboard shows that 3 individuals are hospitalized for further treatment while 312 remain in isolation and 219 are quarantined in the country.
The Maldives has recorded 8 Covid-19 related deaths including four locals and four Bangladeshis.
