Health Protection Agency HPA initiates a mobile medical operation for migrants living in quarters under police surveillance.

In a tweet, HPA said a total of 80 persons were screened and provided the needed medical help.

It also said that HPA officials assessed their current living conditions.

A total of 1078 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives, most of them migrant workers living in the country.

This includes 557 Bangladeshi nationals, 103 Indians, and 15 Nepalese who have tested positive in the Maldives.

Earlier HPA had ordered that all migrant workers deemed vulnerable and at risk of contracting the virus must be quarantined at facilities assigned by the National Emergency Operations Center NEOC.
