From the samples collected on Saturday, 16 May, the results of an elderly citizen has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

The case was discovered through random sample acquiring by health authorities, said Dr. Nazla Rafiq.

The random sample batch included samples collected from 3 elderly citizens of which one has been found positive for the contagion.

Dr. Nazla had not disclosed on how the individual contracted the virus.

She further bemoaned lack of cooperation from public regarding the random sample acquisition by health authorities.

"A lot of the elderly citizens are complaining, stating they have not been to outside questioning why their samples need to be acquired," Dr. Nazla commented.

She explained the nature of the viral contagion's contract from person to person, saying the virus can be contracted through contact with another infected person. And added that chances of the disease contracting is not fully reliant upon going outside.
