Health Protection Agency HPA says samples taken from a Maldivian national has tested positive for Covid-19.
In a tweet, HPA said this individual was tested after showing symptoms of Covid-19.
HPA said this is the 7th person to test positive for the global pandemic in Male’.
It said the individual is being moved to an isolation facility.
HPA did not inform whether this new case was a contact of the previously positive cases like they did before.
With this, speculations have been raised that this new case is unrelated to the previously reported cases and the spread of the virus is now expected to be vast in Male’.
