Health Protection Agency HPA says direct contacts of the individual who tested positive in Male’ earlier today, have been isolated in Addu and Gdh. Vaadhoo.
Speaking to the media, HPA’s medical officer Dr. Fathimath Nazla Rafeeq said some of the direct contacts of the positive patient from Male’ are staying in the islands.
Dr. Nazla said these individuals are being isolated as per HPA guidelines.
With individuals isolated in Addu and Gdh. Vaadhoo, K. Kasshidhoo has earlier been cordon-off after a direct contact of the positive patient from Male’ had traveled to island recently.
HPA had announced earlier that effective from 15:30hrs today, a complete restriction of movement and stopping of Public transport services in Greater Male’ region for 24 hours.
