Starting October 1, foreign travelers arriving at Delhi airport will be able to complete their arrival formalities online through a new E-Arrival Card system, replacing traditional paper-based forms.
Delhi International Airport Ltd. (DIAL), in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration, announced that the initiative will streamline entry procedures, reduce waiting times, and support sustainability goals by cutting paper use.
“The new system enables international passengers to submit their arrival details digitally before reaching the airport, eliminating the need for manual cards,” DIAL said in a statement.
Passengers can fill in the online form up to three days before arrival. Similar digital arrival systems are already in place at major airports in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, and Malaysia.
The launch follows Delhi airport’s introduction of India’s first Fast Track Immigration–Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) in June 2024, designed for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders.
