Police say they have launched an investigation into the case of an individual who was taken to the State-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital IGMH with several injuries.
Police said that they received a report of an individual with injuries taken to the hospital around 11:40 pm last night.
They did not give any information about the injuries of the person nor whether the victim was a local or a foreigner.
However, the Police did say that no one has been taken into custody in connection to the case yet. The police assured that they were further investigating the incident.
Such discoveries are common in the Maldives, especially Male'.
Last October, a man with injuries was found on one of the busiest roads of the capital. The man who was found on Majeedhee Magu was treated and discharged from the hospital.
