Police say 7 individuals were injured in three different traffic accidents that happened in Addu City last night.
They said the victims included 6 men and 1 woman. They also said all 7 victims were treated at Addu Equatorial Hospital. Police cited the hospital to report that none of the victims suffered any serious injuries in the accidents.
They stated that all three accidents occurred because two motorcycles crashed into each other. Police said the scene of the collisions was cleared away in two of the accidents.
Police added that they were further investigating the accidents.
Accidents are common in Addu City. There have been fatalities and property damages in the accidents in Addu City over the years.
The roads of the city have been developed to prevent traffic accidents in the Southern City. However, there are many complaints about the lack of implementation of road safety rules in the city.
