Police have launched an investigation into accusations against a Male teacher who allegedly harassed and groomed students on an island in central Maldives.
They said the case was reported to the Police on the 17th of this month. Police said the male teacher from a school in one of the central Atolls has been accused of speaking inappropriately to students and grooming them.
Police did not reveal any more information about the case as per their stand practice.
For the past few years, Police have been prioritizing the crimes committed against minors and children with sexual crimes given special importance.
Police have also been working to protect the identity of victims of such heinous crimes and have withheld information about the victim’s island or atoll or where the crimes happened in multiple cases.
