Immigration authorities have raided barber shops being operated in Male'.
Immigration authorities said that a total of 6 barber shops in Hulhumale' were raided today and that 4 out of the 6 were shut down. Immigration also noted that 7 illegal immigrants were also detained in the raid.
Immigration is targeting local businesses run by migrants and has raided such companies across the greater Male' Area.
On Tuesday, Immigration officers raided foreign-run coffee/takeaway shops in Hulhumale'. They said that 7 such shops were searched during the raid.
Immigration said that 4 foreigners who were working illegally in these places were taken into custody.
