Police have arrested two individuals who threatened Police and set fire to a policeman's motorcycle in Noonu Atoll Henbadhoo.
They said that the two were arrested for threatening the police officers working in the Henbadhoo police post as well as their families.
Police also said that the two had also threatened to damage the properties of police officers and their families. They said that the suspects damaged the motorcycle of one of the police officers and also set fire to the motorcycle of another police officer.
Police informed that the two suspects arrested in the case were both 33 years old and identified them as Ilyas Ibrahim of Selvio of Henbadhoo and Mohamed Irushad from Hudhuthari of the same island.
Police also published photos of the two suspects taken under custody. Police added that they were further investigating the incident. The motorcycles were damaged in an attack on the 1st of this month and Police said that this attack and threats might be related to the anti-narcotics operations in the region.
