Main Opposition party MDP says it has decided to draw up a road map to further strengthen the party.
Speaking at the party's national assembly meeting held last night, MDP Chairperson Fayyaz Ismail said the political landscape in the Maldives has changed dramatically in recent years and the party's running should be changed and institutionalized as an institution.
Fayyaz said the party has already begun to draw up a roadmap to achieve this and that the roadmap should be a roadmap for the MDP to produce future leaders whose thinking, vision, and mission are well-defined.
He said that it is important to make the MDP ideology a strategic roadmap on how to increase the vote for the MDP and its supporters who see the alignment of the main constituencies.
Fayyaz added that the party will have intense discussions with the members of the national assembly about compiling the roadmap.
The MDP National Assembly meeting held yesterday also shared the latest update on the work of the technical committee formed to investigate the reasons for the loss of the last two elections.
The committee is already conducting interviews with various party leaders.
