President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has pledged to end exclusionary policies and implement a citizen-centric approach to achieving national development goals.

Speaking to residents of Kamadhoo Island during his ongoing tour of Baa Atoll, the President noted that the island had previously been somewhat neglected and stressed his determination to change that.

Reaffirming his commitment to inclusivity, President Dr Muizzu said his Administration would adopt a citizen-focused model and deliver tangible results. He also reiterated his commitment to the numerous development projects planned for the island, particularly in health, education, and sports, and confirmed that work on the football grounds would proceed as promised.

Highlighting Kamadhoo’s strong local tourism sector, the President expressed full support for incorporating residents’ feedback into the island’s road construction plans.

He also pledged to find a sustainable solution to land erosion and confirmed plans for the construction of the island’s harbour.
