Police have apprehended two more individuals in connection to the theft of copper wires from the premises of Male' Water and Sewerage Company MWSC.
Police arrested a 33-year-old and a 43-year-old concerning the theft of the wires from MWSC. Both were remanded for another 15 days in custody by the Criminal Court.
Authorities have previously arrested a 33-year-old local man for the theft. The Court had remanded him custody for 5 days and court documents said that Police had submitted a report from the officers who went to the scene of the theft.
The report said that Police have concrete evidence that the suspect was involved in the theft of the wires from inside MWSC building.
Police clarified that all three arrested in connection with the case have prior criminal records and that they were further investigating the theft.
