Housing Ministry says it has issued land registries to more than 8,250 people who received land under the previous government's housing scheme for Male' residents 'Binveria Housing Scheme'.
The Ministry said this in a statement outlining the latest information about the Binveriya Housing Scheme.
It said that it has signed agreements and issued land registries to 8,250 applicants. It further said that the Ministry was working to sign and issue registry for 212 applicants.
The Ministry also said that it had issued land recipient documents to 118 applicants and that it has yet to issue such documents to 303 applicants.
The Ministry said that it has not signed agreements with 16 applicants as one applicant or applicant has requested to renounce the land plots given under the housing scheme.
It further said that 12 agreements remained unsigned because the applicants had been declared as deceased. The Ministry added that 120 applicants have yet to sign their agreements as their submissions are yet to be fully verified.
