The Parliament Secretariate Confirmed just now that the Parliament's session to approve the cabinet of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will reconvene at 08:00 pm tonight.

This comes after the session scheduled for earlier today was disrupted by MPs from the ruling PNC after it the Democrats and MDP decided not to give their approval to some of the cabinet ministers as well as the attorney general.

Some MPs were locked out of the chamber while violent scuffles broke out between MDP MPs and PNC MPs with one of the PNC MPs sustaining wounds to his head and then rushed out to ADK hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, supporters of the government gathered outside to protest the Parliament majority MDP's decision not to give full approval to the cabinet of President Muizzu.

Reports said that most of those who gathered were political appointees at government ministries including State Ministers and Deputy Ministers.
