Police say they have saved a woman who was drowning in the sea surrounding Villimale'.
They said that they received the report of a woman drowning in the sea near the Barbecue area in Villimale' around 12:31 a.m. last night. Police said that they reached the area where the report came from and one of the police officers went into the save the woman in distress.
Police said that the woman was rushed to the hospital for treatment and that the woman was identified as a 32-year-old woman.
They further stated that the woman was initially treated at Villimale' Hospital and then transferred to IGMH. Police said that the woman had been handed over to her family.
Police also said that the Officer who rescued the woman accidentally swallowed salt water and had to be treated at the hospital in Villimale'.
