Public Service Media (PSM) has temporarily handed over the management of its newsroom to its senior journalist Hussain Amin.
The position was previously held by Mohammed Afzal, who has been working for the company since 1999.
The decision was conveyed in a memo sent after the appointment of former Broadcom member Zeena Zahir as the Managing Director of PSM.
In the memo, Zeena said that the company's newsroom has been handed over to senior journalist Hussain Amin and Senior Editor Ahmed Jadwan as well and Senior Editor Mohammed Jinnah Ali has been appointed as Amin's senior assistant.
Director News and Current Affairs Mohammed Afzal will be temporarily assigned by the Managing Director.
Amin, who previously worked for DTV, joined PSM in 2019.
