An individual has been attacked for posting in support of Israel on social media as the Zionist State continues its non-stop bombardment of the Gaza Strip in Palestine.
A video is circulating on social media which shows a group of people attacking the individual as the person arrives in Male'. The person is then seen being escorted into a police vehicle and driven to safety.
In relation to the incident, the Police said that they received the report of a scuffle near the Bank of Ceylon around 21:46 last night. Police also said that they received the report of another fight around 22:34 from a house in the Henveiru ward of Male'.
Police said that they had not arrested anyone in relation to the incidents but they were investigating the incidents.
The majority of the Maldivian public stands strong in their solidarity with the plight of the Palestinian people and their struggle to form a free land of their own.
The country held several massive gatherings in protest against the latest Israeli aggression against Palestine and the Gaza Strip since the 7th of October.
At least 9,488 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
