A yacht docked near the Ritz-Carlton Fari Resort has caught fire.
Video and photos obtained by The Press showed the yacht on fire with a huge amount of black smoke coming from the burning vessel as members of MDNF fire and rescue working to control the blaze
The MNDF received a report of the incident at 07:37 am.
The tourists and crew on board the yacht were transferred to another vessel and no injuries have been reported so far.
It is not clear how many tourists were taken to the other vessel. MNDF said that there were four crew members when it arrived on the scene.
The yacht that caught fire was the Majesty 62, operated by Smart Own.
