Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed says President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is involved in what he described as the sabotage of the Parliament and the delay of its work.
This comes after the parliament session was delayed due to the lack of quorum for the 2nd day straight with many MPs refusing to enter the chamber.
Speaking at today's delayed session, Nasheed said that he was concerned with the delay and that the sabotage of the parliament was being carried out with the involvement of President Solih.
He implored the President not to keep doing so.
Nasheed went on to say that he would not stop his work.
He assured the Maldivian people that he would work to make sure that the parliament did not come to a stop due to the delays.
The Speaker then gave the time for a 10:00 a.m. start to the session and managed to kick-off the session with an adequate quorum for the session.
