Prominent Religious Scholar Dr. Ali Zahir Bin Saeed Gasim says he believes that PNC Presidential Candidate Mayor Male' City Dr.Mohamed Muizzu is a candidate that would govern in a way that benefits the country and wished him all the best for the election.
Dr. Zahir said that he met with the PNC Candidate and discussed his vision for the country. The Scholar said that the Mayor had his full trust.
He described the PNC Candidate as an educated and capable character with a gentle manner and that he would govern in a beneficial way.
Dr. Zahir added that he is backing the Mayor for the Presidency and that he wished the PNC candidate all the best ahead of next month's election.
The Scholar was the dean of Maldives National University's Faculty of Islamic Studies and Faculty of Sharia and Law. He had been teaching at the university for over 10 years and is still working at the Sharia Department of the University.
Dr. Zahir also played a vital role in the religious organization Jamiyyathul Salaf which met with Jumhooree Party Presidential Candidate Gasim Ibrahim. But the organization had not endorsed the JP candidate.
