President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ plan to seize control of Gaza.
In a post on his official X account, the President described any such action as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and a grave infringement on the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.
The President emphasised that this move would not only deepen the suffering in the occupied Palestinian territories but also threaten lasting peace and regional stability.
He reaffirmed the Maldives’ unwavering support for the Palestinian people and stressed that any attempt to seize control of Gaza or undermine Palestinian authority and sovereignty was unacceptable.
President Dr Muizzu underscored that the Maldives urges the international community to take urgent, concrete measures to prevent the implementation of Israel’s plan, to end Israeli aggression in Palestine, and to ensure accountability for all violations committed in the occupied Palestinian territories.
