PPM says it plans to kick off a door-to-door campaign to garner support for its Presidential Candidate former President Abdullah Yameen.
The party said that the door-to-door campaign will be focused in the Greater Male' Area and that it would kick off the campaign around 3:45 tomorrow from Dhonmaniku Skyview restaurant.
PPM added that this was part of its presidential campaign.
While the opposition gears up for the campaign, Yameen remains jailed serving an 11-year sentence after he was convicted of accepting bribes and money laundering in the leasing of Vaavu Aarah.
Though his defense team has filed appeals for the case, the chances of him competing in the September presidential elections remain slim as the State pressed additional charges against him in the Raa Fuhgiri case.
The Criminal Court is yet to make a judgment on this case which is still at the trial hearing stage.
But the Opposition remains adamant that Yameen would be able to compete in the elections and refuses to field another in his place.
