The Opposition coalition consisting of PPM and PNC along with 'The Democrats' announce their intention to hold a massive political rally in Male' next week.
At a joint press conference held by the political parties today, Vice President of PPM Mp for Naifaru Constituency Ahmed Shiyam said that the three parties are planning to hold a huge rally on the 3rd of next month which falls on next Monday.
Shiyam said that rally would show what the three parties are working on and that this would be seen once The Democrats begin holding smaller rallies after it is registered as a political party.
He went on to say that the parties of the opposing ideologies are working to hold the current administration accountable and end the reign of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih by all means necessary.
MP Shiyam assured that the government that all want to see will prevail after the September presidential elections.
Speaking at the same press conference, one of the top leaders of the Democrats, MP for Medhu Henveiru Constituency Ali Azim the parties are working to topple the current government or end its regime.
Azim recounted that back in 2018, leaders of MDP favored current foreign Minister Abduallah Shahid for the MDP Presidential Candidacy over President Solih but went with Solih to respect the decision not to hold a primary.
He further said that their hesitation to endorse President Solih has been justified as it has been proven that President Solih cannot lead a nation.
