MP for Maavashu Constituency Mohamed Saeed says only former President Abdullah Yameen will get the opposition's presidential ticket.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the opposition's 'Hope Conference', MP Saeed said that the difference between Yameen and others was that his words and actions matched and that he would stay true to his word.

Saeed also said that there is no one better than Yameen to win the Presidential elections scheduled for later this year.

In his remarks, MP Saeed also highlighted how this administration has now become a 'nuisance' to the people.

Saeed said that 45 soldiers from the National Defense Force were stationed at Hanimaadhoo but there were three times more Indian forces deployed there and questioned how this cannot be viewed as anything but a nuisance.

He pointed out other matters which he described as nuisances including letting India conduct hydrographic studies of Maldivian water as well as selling land from Thilafushi.

MP Saeed went on to indirectly describe President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih as a nuisance to the people too.
