Home Minister Imran Abdullah says the leaders within the opposition leadership have other intentions rather than working together to free leader and former President Abdullah Yameen.
Minister Imran said via Twitter that those within the opposition leadership were working on achieving something else rather than the release of Yameen who is serving an 11-year jail sentence after being convicted of money laundering and bribery.
Imran further said that this is becoming more evident every day.
The Minister's remarks are indirect comments on observations that leaders within the opposition would rather leave Yameen in jail as they themselves want the opposition's presidential candidacy.
Minister Imran has become vocal on Twitter recently aiming his indirect but blunt comments towards the opposition as well as the Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed.
Looking at the replies to his outspoken tweets, most Twitter users disagree with the Minister and often criticise him for the tweets.
