President of PNC Abduh Raheem Abdullah (Adhurey) says MDP would never wish anything good on former President Abdullah Yameen and that MDP would want to inflict more cruelty and injustice on him.
Adhurey's comments came after Speaker of the Parliament and leader of MDP Mohamed Nasheed described Yameen as a visionary who is highly educated and capable.
In response to Nasheed's flattering comments, Adhurey said last night that Nasheed said these words for his own gain.
Adhurey said that the people already believed that Yameen was more than capable and that the only one not to believe it was MDP.
He noted that MDP governments have also inflicted injustice and cruelty on the former President. He said that during MDP's first tenure, Yameen was taken to Dhoonidhoo jail twice.
He added that Yameen was also kept isolated at Aaarashu when MDP was in power.
The President of the PNC said that the opposition coalition had no interest in the MDP Primary and that it did not care who would win the MDP Presidential candidacy.
He added that there is no benefit in electing any of the candidates and the only person capable of bringing beneficial change to the people was President Yameen.
