Police are searching different parts of the island of Alifu Alifu Maalhos after a man was found murdered in his home yesterday morning.
Police identified the victim as Abdul Rahman Adam,65, from the same island.
They stated that Abdul Rahman was murdered in his sleep and that he was declared dead on arrival at the island's health center.
Sources have said that Abdul Rahman was killed with a hard blow to his head and that part of his skull was crushed in the attack.
A team from the police was dispatched to the island after the incident, and today it was revealed that the Police are searching different parts of the island for evidence of the crime.
Police have confirmed to the outlet that they have yet to arrest anyone in the case.
Local media reports cited family members to report that the victim's wife discovered him after his attack and that she had heard assailants run away from the scene.
