President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's campaign team for the upcoming MDP Primary has scheduled a major meeting for tonight.
The major meeting with Male' City members and campaign teams is scheduled for 08:30 pm tonight and would be held at Faashana Hall of Dharubaaruge.
President Solih is competing against the Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed for the MDP Presidential Candidacy ahead of the elections this year.
Both camps have kicked off their campaigns strongly and both Nasheed and the President have made campaign trips to the Atolls.
The President has made trips to Raa Atoll as well as Noonu Atoll while he is scheduled to travel to Fuvahmula after his meeting in Male' City.
Meanwhile, Speaker Nasheed traveled to the islands of Faafu Atoll and Dhaalu Atoll this week.
Looking ahead at the Speaker's campaign trail, he would be in Raa and Baa Atoll between the 9th and 11th of this month while Nasheed plans to travel to the atolls of Meemu, Vaavu, Thaa, and Faafu between the 13th and 15th of this month.
Nasheed would be in Lhaviyani Atoll and Kaafu Atoll on the 17th of this month and would travel to Gaafu Alifu and Gaafu Dhaalu Atolls between the 19th and 21st of this month.
His campaign team said that the Speaker would be in Addu City from the 23rd to the 24th of January ahead of the Primary scheduled to take place on the 28th of this month.
