Health Minister Ahmed Naseem says the government is working to arrange rehabilitation services on all the inhabited islands for those who require it.
He made the remarks while speaking at the ceremony to open the new Drug treatment and Rehabilitation center for women.
The Minister noted that right now the biggest issue the country is facing is drug abuse and that arrangements would be made to give rehabilitation services across the country.
He said that the Ministry has now made assessments of the drug rehabilitation centers in the country. Minister Naseem further said that the Ministry has reviewed the rehabilitation program and has also trained the personnel required to expand the services to the islands.
He added that the arrangements would see the Health Centers on each island give some form of treatment for drug addiction.
