A man has been attacked while he was sleeping in a house in Male'.
Sources have said that the attack against the man came after violence between two rival gangs in the capital city.
They also said that the assailants had entered the house after breaking down its front door.
In regard to this incident, Police said that they had received a report of a scuffle at a guesthouse located on Hihfaseyha Goalhi of Male' around 2:38 in the morning.
Police said that they had arrested a local man from the scene.
They said after that they received a report of a man being attacked in a house in the Maafannu ward of Male'. Police said that they received the report around 3:34 in the morning and that the man was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police added that they were investigating both the incidents.
