Police have arrested a major drug dealer in an operation conducted in Male'.
They said that the man was a 20-year-old local man who have been dealing drugs in a wide manner.
Police further said that the suspect was arrested in an operation last night after its drug intelligence unit received a tip-off.
They said that the suspect was arrested in Thuhraasa goalhi of Henveiru ward in Male' and that police had searched his persons and found illicit narcotics in his possession.
Police added that the amount of drugs found in the search is up to the mark in which it is determined whether or not a suspect is a drug dealer.
They said that its drug enforcement unit is further investigating the case.
