Maldives Airports Company Ltd MACL has handed over the housing units it built in Phase II of Hulhumale' to its recipients.
The keys to the housing units were handed over to their owners at a special ceremony held between the residential towers named 'Aero Residence'.
Speaking at the ceremony, CEO and Managing Director Mahjoob said that MACL was one of the best state-owned companies currently under operation.
He said that the staff of the company are hardworking and that it was being managed by the collective efforts of all the employees. Mahjoob noted that the staff of MACL have contributed to different national disasters and highlighted their work during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as to control several big fires alongside MNDF firefighters.
He further said that their work must be appreciated and the company's initiative in the construction of the flats was part of it.
MACL said Aero Residence is a two-tower residential apartment built by MACL through government housing policy. It has in total 384 residential apartments which include 240 of 2 rooms and 72 of 1 room apartments.
