A police officer's cycle has been set ablaze in Meemu Atoll Mulak.
Police said that the cycle was set on fire last night and that Police were further investigating the incident.
A photo on social media shows the cycle parked outside a house had been burnt beyond repair.
The island Council has so far not been able to give much information about the incident.
But sources have said the cycle was set ablaze while it was parked outside the police officer's house on the island and that the fire was set around 3 in the morning.
It was reported that the police officer was on a trip when the incident happened.
This comes after attacks against Police officers have been on the rise in the country over the last few weeks. High-profile incidents have been reported in Male' as well as Addu with several arrests also made in relation to the cases.
