Human remains have been found in Gaafu Alifu Dhaandhoo.
Police said that the report of the discovery came in last night and that the bones were found from Dhaandhoo waste area.
They said the initial examination showed that the bones were old. Police also said that they have not been able to determine whether the bones were human or not.
But sources have attributed doctors to confirm that the bones were in fact human.
Police added that they were further investigating the matter.
