Dheebanaz Fahmy and Mohamed Saleem have been sworn in as High Court Judges.

The High Court said that the two judges took their oaths of office in the presence of Supreme Court Justice Husnu Suood.

Judge Dheebanaz acquired her Bachelors of Law (honors) from the International Islamic University in Malaysia before receiving her Master of Law from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

She was appointed as a Criminal Court judge back in September of 2020 and has vast experience in the Criminal Justice System having worked in the field for over 17 years.

Judge Dheebanaz was the first female judge in the Criminal Court and has also acted as Deputy Prosecutor General.

Meanwhile, Judge Mohamed Saleem received his Bachelor of Law from Kulliyathul Dhiraasaathu Islaamiyaa. He worked as a legal officer at the High Court for over 12 years.
