In a statement, BML said that in order to enhance operational resiliency and maintain the necessary security and technology standards of the Bank's systems, it regularly undertakes system upgrades.

BML said that on 21st November 2021, it completed a major upgrade to its core banking system.

It said upgrading the core banking system is often a complex and comprehensive process that can impact service availability for banks across the globe.

The Bank noted that it expected to face minimal system interruptions which were communicated in advance to its customers.

However, the Bank said that it has unfortunately continued to face intermittent outages since the upgrade which it is working hard to resolve.

The bank apologized for the inconvenience and thank our customers for their continued patience during this time.
