Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital has temporarily halted processing blood tests due to what the hospital has described as an unforeseen circumstance.
In a statement, IGMH said that the Alinity CL machines used for clinical investigations have encountered an unmitigated technical problem and the problem was detected last Tuesday.
The Hospital said that its technicians have been unable to get the machines back online and hence the hospital has decided to temporarily halt blood investigations for outpatients.
It also said that the hospital cannot process other blood-related tests sent over by other hospitals due to the issues with the machines.
IGMH said that its technicians are working around the clock to rectify the issue.
The hospital had said in a tweet that it is unable to process the samples taken yesterday and said that the tests needed to be repeated.
It informed that the tests can be done in any of the Vinavi authorized centers
