Police have seized four dozen beer cans after searching a taxi driving in Hulhumale last night and have arrested three individuals in relation to the incident.
Police said that the taxi was searched after reports came in that some individuals were attempting to offload beer cases from a Dinghy docked at Hulhumale' Petrol Harbour to a taxi.
They said that the taxi was searched around 12:10 am last night and that Police had seized 48 cans of beer from the vehicle.
Police said that 3 individuals were arrested in relation to the incident and that this includes a 24-year-old, a 26-year-old, and a 30-year-old.
The law enforcement agency confirmed that it was now actively investigating the case.
Police conduct such search and seize operations based on intel reports from time to time.
