The Islamic Ministry has taken action against Askoi Hajj and Umrah Tours Pvt Ltd after allegations of fraud were made against the group.

Earlier this month, Police said Askoi Hajj and Umrah Tours Pvt Ltd had not arranged for Umrah after taking money from some people. Police further stated that the Economic Crime Investigation Department has launched an investigation into the case.

Today, the Islamic Ministry said that it had suspended the license issued to the group, which allows it to arrange Umrah trips. The Ministry said that it has also fined the Group and that it would not allow any shareholder of the group to be involved in another Umrah group.

The ministry has also asked the company to refund the money of those who have paid in advance for the July 2025 Umrah.

Stating that it has submitted the case to the Police, the Ministry urged the group to implement all the conditions set.

The Islamic Ministry has said that it has been unable to get in touch with any top official from the group and that it has not responded to any official letters sent to the group.
