Health Protection Agency HPA has confirmed that the COVID-19 death toll in the country has now reached 205 after the agency confirmed two more COVID deaths in the country.
HPA confirmed via Twitter today that at 01:30 am, a 55-year-old Indian man admitted at the Hulhumale Medical Facility had succumbed to the illness.
The Agency confirmed that this is the 204th COVID death reported in the country.
HPA had also confirmed another death from the facility after a 41-year-old local man admitted at HMF passed away due to COVID-19 today at 05:19 am.
HPA said that this is the 205th COVID-19 death in the Maldives.
The pandemic has killed 44 individuals so far this month with most of the deaths being reported from the Hulhumale medical facility.
Yet, last month remains the month with the highest COVID fatalities after HPA had reported that 88 people had succumbed to the pandemic in the country in May 2021.
