Sources have confirmed that the perpetrator of the alleged abuse is a man who works at the Health Ministry.

Sources have also confirmed that the issue of harassment had escalated to the point where a group of people had a physical altercation with the man in question.

Maldivian workplaces are rife with sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior but recently victims have been breaking the trend of suffering in silence and calling out their colleagues or bosses for such unacceptable behavior.
