President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has acknowledged the service and dedication of the many doctors, nurses, and other professionals working to keep the country in good health while tackling the worst public health crisis in living memory.
He made the comment on the occasion of World Health Day celebrated today.
The President added that on behalf of a grateful nation, he extended the country's sincere thanks to their service.
Meanwhile, Vice President Faisal Naseem reminded that the health care workers have been battling the COVID19 pandemic, every minute, for the last 2 years.
He said via Twitter that from treating the patients to vaccination, they are at the forefront of saving our lives.
The Vice President said that for this, he is immensely grateful to all of them, as the country celebrates World's Health Day.
The theme for World Health Day 2021 is ‘Building a fairer, healthier world’.
Stating that the world is unequal, WHO said that the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted how some people can have better access to health services and live healthier lives than others.
